Mother’s Day is May 8th, and since I think moms should be celebrated in the biggest way I’ll be sharing lots of Mother’s Day inspiration, from great gifts any mom would love to get to fun Mother’s Day crafts for kids.
So when is mothers day ? Sunday May 8th, 2022
A simple way to say Hey Mom, you’re awesome! is to give her a card. But sometimes it’s hard to know what to say. I mean this is the woman who gave you life, wiped your butt, stayed up late to make sure you made it home ok and bailed you out of a few too many bad decisions. How do you put all in that into words?
Let me tell you a secret. We moms don’t need fancy words or long mushy adjective filled expressions of love. A big hug, a thanks mom and an I love you make us happy. Of course, we’ll take flowers, jewelry and a nice massage too if your buying but really, it’s the acknowledgement that matters so much more.
So when you go to write your Happy Mothers Day message and you draw a blank, remember it’s not about the words, it’s about the feelings. Tell your she makes you feel proud, or thank her for the little things she did to make you happy growing up. Share one of your favorite memories of something she did (or does) that’s special. We moms do so many things to make our families happy, to build memories for our children and to make them smile everyday. Reminding your mom of one of those special moments will make her so happy to know you remember and that it matters.
