Tuna Pasta Bake reminds me of my youth. My Mom loved to make us a tuna casserole for dinner. I think she really enjoyed making it for a few reasons. First, the ingredients were inexpensive. Second, it was pretty easy to put together. And third, the kids could really make the recipe by themselves. So, now that I am a Mom, I have taught my children to help me make this Tuna Pasta Bake. I like to think that I have updated it a bit, while still keeping it pretty simple.[Tweet “This Tuna Pasta Bake Recipe is a Family Dinner Favorite #recipe #tunacasserole “]
Tuna Pasta Bake Recipe
Ingredients
1 can (10 1/2 ounces) Campbell’s® Condensed Cream of Mushroom Soup
1/2 cup milk
1 leek, thinly sliced
1 cup frozen green peas
2 cans (about 5 ounces each) tuna in water, drained
6 ounces elbow pasta, cooked and drained
1 cup bread crumbs
1/2 cup cheddar cheese, shredded
3 TB butter, melted
Directions
Heat the oven to 400°F. Pour the can of soup into a bowl. Add the milk, the leek, the peas, the tuna and the cooked pasta. Mix well.
Bake the tuna mixture for 20 minutes or until hot and bubbling. Stir the tuna mixture. Sprinkle with the bread crumb mixture.
While the tuna is baking, make your topping in a small bowl. Stir together the bread crumbs, cheddar cheese and melted butter, mix well.
Take out the Pasta Bake from the oven and sprinkle the topping on evenly. Bake for 5-8 minutes or until the bread crumb mixture is golden brown. Watch it carefully!
